It is a great pleasure to know Okan Okyay. Okan was my private tutor of Turkish language for almost two months. At that time, I was planning to move to Turkey and start my life there as an English teacher. For that very reason, my specific challenge was to find a native speaker not only able to teach me Turkish language in English, but also someone who was ethusiastic about teaching his mother tongue. I found Okan′s profile on the Internet and decided to give a try at contacting him. Choosing Okan as my private tutor was really a “shot in the dark“ as I knew nothing about him.

Within a few days we arranged our first tutoring session. This was the first positive experience because I needed to start learning Turkish as soon as possible. Many of my earlier attempts to contact private tutors had gone unanswered. Other positive things about choosing Okan Okyay were his flexibility, good manners and good communication skills. After a brief introduction, we got straight to work, and continued to work for a very intense hour without interruption. I really enjoyed learning Turkish with Okan and I always got a lot out of each session. Okan′s personal style and ability to prepare every session according to my needs, made me feel excited about Turkish language and Turkish culture.

I feel extremely fortunate that Okan happened to be my Turkish tutor. Our meetings were always comfortable, and there was a definite objective set every time. I can assure you that Okan can communicate his ideas clearly and effectively, with the right amount of patience. Moreover, Okan brings with him a positive and humorous personal approach that makes every lesson enjoyable.

Overall, I have nothing but positive things to say about Okan. He performs his role as a tutor cheerfully and conscientiously. Therefore, I strongly recommend Okan Okyay to all students. I can honestly say, that if it was not for Okan, I would still be lost in the complexity

of Turkish language.
